Description: The building comprises of 14,000 sq.ft of warehouse accommodation and 11,000 sq.ft of office space. The project was constructed for Kerstar, a local manufacturer of vacuums and cleaning appliances. The building was constructed using a portal frame spanning 34m and a clear height of 7m to the eaves. A combination of composite panels and built up cladding systems were used to form the external envelope. Particular attention was given to the front entrance reception which included polished floor tiles and a feature staircase. WP Architects were appointed by the contractors to provide construction drawings, obtain building regulation approvals and discharge any outstanding planning conditions. The building was completed with a construction period of 29 weeks. |
